1972 GMC Stepside
Believe it or not but this build actually started way back in about 1992/93. In the pics is a photo of the Scale Auto Mag that inspired me to cut the roof off this pick up. Its been one of those kits that was started and just continually pushed to the back of the cupboard over the last 20 years. No more, its out and will be finished just to call it done. It will be just a satin black, big block driven burn-out ute. Nothing flash. Wheels are from a Thunderbird kit I think but I de-chromed them and sprayed them with Alclad Polished aluminium. This didn't really have to be done but I thought I would practise with alclad on these before attempted some fire truck chequer plate. The original rear stepside was chucked and I used the stepside from a 1991 Chevy stepside.
And yes before anyone asks, I did only pay $5 for it from Big W. It didn't have any wheels in it and was in the "piss off cheap rack".
