Re: MEMBERS 1.1 BUILDS
heres 1 of my earlier toys, tought myself how to panel beat and spray paint, stuffed the bonnet ( never did get around to fixing it ) rebuilt engine, was very punchy for a lil 253. sold it just after i took the photo to raise cash for my firstborn son.
this is my current project. building a stroker engine for it. just gotta get the block CC and machined. then it'll be time for balancing and assembly.
takin just after the teardown.

Now that looks like more fun than model building! Are you in a club? What was the event?

It's more fun alright!!! I'm in the R.S Owner's Club of Victoria (RSOCVIC), mostly for RS Escorts but also other stuff, pretty much any small ford. Tha event was the
BP Midland / Pedders No Bull Sprint Series, Round 2 at Winton. It's an AASA event (not CAMS).
I thoroughly recommend getting to a track day or two, great fun, even better with mates.

If I were you Chris, I wouldn't let jack back in the shed.
I like this version best, reckon it should look especially good with a chrome grille shell.
I also have two sests of wheels for my '33 and 3 wheel cap options for the steelies, coz a change is as good a s a holiday.

Yeah it is great fun. I haven't done it for a while. Last outing was at Sandown in 2004 and it ended badly with an oil slick and an armco railing. I believe an Escort was to blame that day funnily enough... Are Chargers welcome in your club? Here's a couple of photos of my old girl in action:

I think I was there that day at Winton ^^above! You had a spin that day too right? I had a spin there that day as well, I was driving my dark green Peugeot 205GTi then. It might be in one of your pictures, because we ran some same sessions that day, I have a photo somewhere with both our cars in it!
We welcome all small ford enthusiasts in our club, you dont have to own one to be an enthusiast!!

Is that you at the front of this grid shot? What a small world. I've often said it's hard to be anonymous in a bright green Charger but this is ridiculous!
Those pesky escorts were like flies buzzing around my rotting mopar carcass!

Re: MEMBERS 1.1 BUILDS
The local fisheries inspector here in Tumut use to own an ex-Bathurst racing Escort, but sold it before he finished rebuilding it.

It's not the yellow one in the picture above is it? That's a bathurst car, but when it was bought it was in yellow paint, no livery.
