Will be building this one up as a light truck tray top. Cab is from RMR resin will be using most of the parts from AMT's 1950 Chevrolet 3100 pick up, will be using resin wheels on it also.

hi Allan; I'm new here (second post), and I also have one of these ('48-'50 COE) from RMR; I also have the frame, but it's very weak ! your idea looks and sounds interesting, and I have some questions. where did you get the stock rims and tires? I want to use them on my COE. mine will also have a heavier rear axle, because I'm building a car-hauler. would you happen to know where I can get these pieces in resin ? I don't want to have to buy another kit to kit-bash mine, so any advice you have to offer will be welcomed. I also have a little surprise in store for mine; when I'm able to start it; I'll post it in this section of the forum ! would you like to have a spec sheet on your COE ? I have one. if you'd like to have it; i'll post it for you ! Very Happy

Who1 the resin wheels came from The Parts Box here in Australia, WWW.thepartsbox.com. The chassis from the pick up is to light for the COE so look at making one up for it, Oh you can also find the wheels in the MONOGRAM Ford 350 "Duallie" pickup kit (85-7806) they are chrome in the kit. Don't know were you can get heavy diff in resin, look at the little Dodge L700 or the Ford short hauler for one.Yes please on the spec sheet infor.

I'm not allowed to send any links for a week according the instructions. I tried copying and pasting, but that didn't work either Crying or Very sad when I'm allowed to send you the link; I will ! the COE will be the one in the center of the page !

darn, I was hoping you'd received it by now! when you get it, would you mind sending me the link on it? I forgot to save it! I've also found measurements for a '48-50 school bus that I think would work as a frame. I'm going to try to build my frame from these bus measurements.

hgmon, you just gave me an idea! I'm in the U.S., and as you know, our vehicles are left-hand drive! however with the other plans that I have for my COE, a right-hand drive; my COE would be even more unique !!!!!

will you accept a postal money order? if so, I want the dash !!!!...I don't know the exchange rate (if there is one) so let me know what you think please !

Allan, i forgot to mention; i contacted The Partsbox, but they didn't have the rims and tires that i want Crying or Very sad , so i suppose i'll have to look for a late '40s-early '50s Semi kit to get what i need. Ron told me that he casted the rims and tires, so before i bought my COE; i asked if he'd send them as well. he said "there's going to be changes around the shop", so i didn't get them! i'm not sure what he meant by that remark, but oh well! i'm going to have to scratch-build the frame, the one that came with the body looks too thin, and it's very flimsy! i broke it trying to clean the flash from it! it will have an Alison in it; Jim Lytle is my inspiration for this build, and if i can make it look right; i'll dedicate it to him!

Michelle at the Partsbox said they had only the photo-etched finishing pieces! when i get my COE to where i want it to be; i'll order these parts!
