Re: Willys Van
Cheers dudes.
The cammers not actually that bad if you put a little effort into it and use seleced donor parts (I'm building one for a future gasser project). Worst thing is probably the huge notch in the gearbox to allow it to clear the frame. That and the acres of flash.
Anyone got the latest release of the Ohio George 33 coupe? What's that like for flash?

Re: Willys Van
Very nice, Fred. Love the show-car paint/chrome/whitewalls combo. And that AMT '29 Ford Hemi never looked so good. Nice pics, too. Now about those decals...

Re: Willys Van
just cracked the box Fred, almost no flash at all on the parts, a tiny bit of very fine flash on bits of the trees. They really tightened up these molds by the look of it.zenrat wrote:Cheers dudes.

Great looking build too by the way

If I keep seeing builds like this, I might just be tempted to do some smaller scale cars...it would cost me a lot less.
I like the Willys van because it's different. Good job.

Re: Willys Van
Thanks DSF. I've been tempted by the coupe but until now was put off by the worn moulds.
Opening this kit didn't exactly give me comfort in that direction.
I'll look out for one of the new ones.
B - don't start about the decals. I thought they were fine. In the end it's their loss...
Rob - I bought this kit at Tumut 2012 on a whim. I blame you for broadcasting "I love van" vibes all wekend.

Thanks Carps.
Rob, it won't take much. My first car was an Econovan.
