1940 Ford
Got this one done guys. A lightly faster build than my last one. Ahah.
It's the AMT 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery kit. Fairly easy kit to build and some fairly nice options to choose from.
This was going to be a standard stock build with a bit of lowering and detail, but being me, I had to give a little touch. So I have changed the taillights around to give that touch.
Filled in the old triangular lights and drilled three holes running up and down.
Cheers guys! Enjoy

Nicely done Adam, nice touch with the Pegasus 23" Hellas, gather there wasn't too much drama shoving those under the fat fenders

Re: 1940 Ford
Fantastic Work, I'm very impressed mate!...Love that colour. I also built this kit but the back door doesn't swing up, and used to fall off all the time , so I glued it on!... that fixed it.

Do it mate!...do it!.... but put your own ideas into it.
Make it your own, and then it will be something
no one else has done! GO FOR IT!....

Re: 1940 Ford
If I made it my way, it'd have a body and/or roof chop, Hot Rod single axle front end, blown Hemi, be converted to a ute....
lol.
Not worth it on a twisted kit.
Might convert it to a Ute actually, but would need to untwist it first.

Re: 1940 Ford
Cheers guys! Pretty chuffed that you brought my build up to be honest Jerry!
Go for it Iron, the straightening of the body would be worth it in the end. '40 ford ute would look awesome!

I agree with Adam, young "Iron". Work out how you would like to see this "Muther of
a UTE" finished if it were your own car parked in the garage. Map out what parts you
will use (wheels, engine etc. etc.), how and what you gonna "cut & paste" then build it!
Yeh, It's all trial & error but have fun and learn while ya doing it!
I'm a 59 year ol' fart who really enjoys building Rods & Customs and I'm still learning
as I go and hopefully learn more tricks & ideas from all the modellers on this forum.
So no more thinkin',... get out that kit and start workin'!....
I'm keen to see more of Adams work as well....
Jerry
