Reynard F3000
Hi Guys. This is the 1/24 Hasegawa kit of the Reynard F3000 car driven by Jean Alesi for the Eddie Jordan Team in 1989.
Its built stock standard apart from plug leads and some bare metal foil.
Its not street or muscle - but hope you all like it just the same
Cheers
Tim

Re: Reynard F3000
You know what I think when I look at this?
Sports Sedan...
Very good. Do Hasegawa do many 1/24 open wheelers?

Re: Reynard F3000
mmmm...I can see where you are going with this Fred. Hasegawa released a whole series of F3000 and F1 cars in the very early 90's. They only kitted up cars that were powered by Japanese engines (Yamaha, Mugen etc), which provided a lot of mid to back end of the grid subjects (Larousse, Zakspeed, Tyrrell). As far as I now these have never been re-released, so are thin on the ground. They also then released some Ferrari's, Benettons, and a Williams around the same time. They are a simple kit, but can be a bit fiddly. Recently they have entered the 1/20 F1 scene, and their kits are of the same quality as Fujimi and Tamiya. The F3000 kits are the ones you would need to find and butcher Fred.
There endeth the lesson.

The engine is irrelevant. It's the transaxle and suspension i'm interested in.
I won a 1/24 Revell Red Bull car at Tumut which will be my unwilling test subject...
Ultimately i'd like to build something like this

Re: Reynard F3000
Very nice work of what was a great start for two people who made an impact on F1. What yellow did you go with?
Re: Reynard F3000
G'day Shayne - its just a Tamiya 'Camel Yellow' TS-34 spray job.
