Tamiya 1980 Yamaha YZR500 (Barry Sheene)
Hey guys I don't usually put up old builds...just because! But I thought I would stick this one up as I was trolling through my album looking for creative inspiration while I am in the middle of building my new man cave. I built this back in 2011 with a build time of around 180hrs over a 12 month period. The build was awesome as well as challenging as a lot of the engine and chassis components were pretty much chopped and hacked to get a factual look. The most challenging I found was finding high resolution pics of the bike and getting the finished and completed engine into the bike frame as the kit is designed to put the frame together around the engine and I built the frame as one piece...anyway I could keep going! ENJOY

Re: Tamiya 1980 Yamaha YZR500 (Barry Sheene)
Thanks guys....I haven"t built much in the past 12 months other than creating the nose and grill for my "Terraplane 37 Ford Pick-up" but I am still active as a Troll on this forum and a few others...I recently started a new job in March which involves Continental Shift work which means more and the building of my biggest investment in the hobby ......A MANCAVE! Anyway thanks for the comments and soon hopefully I can get some styrene done.
