Wild Willie Borsch Altered Rod
Picked this up today by way of a shady deal in a parking lot. Bit of a different thing for me, being all drag-racery and all. It was paired with a Detail Master kit I wanted, which I know nothing about, except that the resin is THICK! Want to take a leaf from Zen's book and pick some 'good' colours And a straight 6 wouldn't go astray...
This is the resin kit I snagged, anybody know anything about it? Am I a millionaire now?

Looks like it will be one wild build with that body on the Willy B kit mate, i scored a Willy B kit at a garage sale cheap a while ago, got lots of potential with a descent body.
Look forward to you skillful building mate.
OH, and it doesn't matter what that kit is worth, it just NEEDS building!!

Re: Wild Willie Borsch Altered Rod
Is that one of the Model Master/Jimmy Flintstone kits which is basically a solid block of resin onto which you attach wheels? I've got the "Mercster" which i'll aim to finish this year when I can get more shiny paint done.
I decided to build it out of the box and concentrate on doing a really nice paint job as to try to add detail was going to be a real PitA as i'd have had to grind so much resin away.
White metal parts for the suspension & wheels? Don't neglect to polish them up...
The Winged Express is the same chassis as the Bantam Blast. It's a little fiddley but builds up well. You'll have no problems. As it's such an iconic car you'll have no problem finding pictures on the interweb. Remember it's a race car and changed during its career so there is no definitive "right" way to build it unless you pin down a specific set of photos from one race meet.
This is the chassis (albeit with the engine swapped for an AMC donk).

Thats the one zen, its a big resin drip/blob, but cool! Ta for the info, Ill definitely be looking up what lines go where, since it such a bare frame type thing. Deciding on which engine type situation to go with. Too many options!
You're right about the frame, it was really flashy as well as fiddly.

Re: Wild Willie Borsch Altered Rod
Didn't even think to chuck another body on it! That looks great checkmate! Too right about the mold lines, its more moldline than kit lol!
Besides this Iv got another one on the go at the moment (shock horror), doing a RB38DETT (new skyline mill) powered 68 Firebird. All japanese 'bosozoku' styled with stretchwall tyres and overhanging bonnet.
