1956/-57 VW Baja Bug

I've kept working on the Engine but also started building a rollbar;

Unfortunately the Porsche-Engine doesn't look as good in the rear as I'd hoped for, so I'll stick to the VW-Engine:



This looks much smoother and not as "Heavy" as the Porsche:



Also started the exhaustsystem this evening:

Yep the Vdub engine looks better. This is coming together nicely.

Many thanks for the kind words! Unfortunately I'd forgotten to make new chrome sidetrim for the front part, so I had to sand down the primer and dig into my stash of Everegreen strips.



I bought a can of Volkswagen L87 Pearl White for this build:



....and right now I'm making some decent Herbie decals for it!

Going to look cool in pearl white.

Put some paint on today and started detailing some of the interior:

The homemade decals aren't quite as good as I hoped for, bur good enough for a "race-car"
