Ballarat NNL 2015

Well guys, its that time of the year again...Buninyong is confirmed for another year.
24th May, 2015 at the Buninyong Golf Club.
Theme is 'Top Gear' Challenges.
The show will be as per usual (swap meet etc.), and I will post more details closer to the date.

I've chosen my build already for this but am currently half way through watching the Patagonia challenge.

Entry fee $2 per model (per entrant) up to 5 models.  Rest free!

The Swap Meet will also  be on again, so bring your old kits ‘n’ bits.

Also our club will have a table of kits priced to clear, so make sure you are all cashed up!

Think I may make it this year, however there's only room for one passenger in my new car and I reckon the models might not survive the trip.





But I still have the wife's Ruckus and I think there's a SUV on the office fleet.

That is sweet, and i absolutely LOVE the color mate, i am sure you will enjoy the trip.

Looks like I may have to travel alone as I'm headed to Japan that afternoon.

So, up to Ballarat in the morning, then off to the airport straight after lunch.

The model car stores in Nagoya are a given, guess I should schedule a day in Tokyo to visit the Akihabira district.

Meanwhile poor old Terry gets to travel with me again...

The bad news (or good, depending on your perspective) is I have to travel to Japan the following week, so I'll be headed up on Friday evening to catch up with friends in Tokyo and Yokohama, before heading North on Monday morning.  I should also manage a few hours in the akihabira instruct sniffing out more cool stuff I dont really need in all the hoby shops.

So enjoy the day and may the best models take home the gold.

Geez Carps...thats twice in 2 years you have done a runner on us.   Do we need to shift the show to suit your travels?  Hope you bring back a shed load of goodies....

Sorry about that Freddie, but since I no longer have to juggle these things to fit into family life, they can happen at anytime and take me anywhere on earth.

I promise to purchase only cool toys, whilst shopping in Tokyo and elsewhere.

Only 15 sleeps to go.

I've finished the basic car for the Top Gear thingo and am now adding the modifications the presenter "added themselves" (yeah right, course they did it themselves - i've found pics on the site of the company who actually carried out the work).
So, just a bit of scratchbuilding and then some more weathering and it's done.
It's a lot harder this year having to build to reality rather than to my warped imagination.
