Tilt Tray Truck
As the subject suggests, I would like to build a tilt tray truck or something the right size as one or similar. I am thinking about this idea ;combo of a damaged racecar , etc, being picked up by the tilt tray or ramp truck as some have called it. So if you truckies out there or like minded individuals know of a truck model that would suit, it would help. I saw a Ford COE Dump Truck that could, I say could be converted to a tilt tray, maybe, with a bit of work .

Re: Tilt Tray Truck
Thanks Allan . I have been looking at tilt trays while driving to work and also google-ing tilt trays at lunch time for ideas. Looked at rmr resin (after reading your post )at old Chev twin cab. Would make a neat tilttray truck ! I also new about The Parts Box Bedford S, that'd be different again. I was thinking along the lines of a modern cabover but it would be kOOL to do a "Nostalgia" type tilt tray, Decisions, Decisions, Decisicions ???

Re tilt tray
bbk , iwas up in Sydney a couple of weeks ago and dropped into Hobbyco in city for a bit of a nosey & BMF & i saw a hino or mitsubishi (jap kit i think ) tray back , not sure if it had ramps or hiab crane for the tray, did`nt take much notice as was`nt interested but reading your post jogged my (nearly wornout ) memory, check them out if it`s something like that your after, can`t remember price or brand name but it was somewhere among their kits.

Re: Tilt Tray Truck
Allan I've put the tilt tray truck on the backburner for the moment. I ,m getting a few cars ready for the NNL Show in Tumut in April . I have a proposed idea of a 57 Chev dual cab Pickup body matched to the Ford C-600 Truck chassis with opoerating tilt tray. Painting in Pearl White and Silver Passed through your way on the way to Tamworth for Country & Western Event, stopped at Macca's outside Maaitland for brekky. I might have to PM you with my e-mail. OK

Re: Tilt Tray Truck
Ashb I 'll see how yours turns out; so far I've only done a rough sketch of mine as I was steering towards a tandem rear axle setup with a long tray, presumebly long enough to carry a '59 Caddy.

Re: Tilt Tray Truck
Hey BBK if you want to build a modern larger style tilt tray the Italeri Eddie Stobart Volvo would make a great starting point. The same kit I made the Peter Burns Removals truck out of. And you'd only need to add the rams at the front and some other small details.

Rob I'll have a close look at the Peter Burns Removal Truck in a few weeks to see whether it could be suitable as the size of tilt tray truck I'd like to do?

Re: Tilt Tray Truck
Here's one that I built from a pickup kit is a 50 Chevy COE I think that you can get it in resin now out of the states this picture's from the Mackey comp the bonnet got damaged on the way so its not on it will take better pictures if you want
This one is Bedford car transporter It has a trailer that goes with it as well but Its not in the picture but you can see it in the picture above The cab is from The Parts Box The Interior had to be reworked it was a bit shallow but other wish its great I have another one that I'm thinking Kustom
