LJ 4 door Torana
Just finished this one up. The body is a resin one from Resinblob on Evilbay, very nice casting with little clean up. 308 motor is also a resin item from Resinblob. The body was converted from 2 door to 4 door, rear spoiler ground off and guard flutes filled. I used a 72 GTO chassis, chopped down a bit and parts of a 69 Camaro interior with scratch built door cards.
Paint is a custom mix metallic green with 2k clear over the top. Wheels are from the Revell 70 Nova kit.

Nice build. Colour works well. I really wish the big boys would do some classic aussie cars ...I would spend 5 times what I spend now on kits.

Re: LJ 4 door Torana
Just thought I'd add that my old man restored one of these when I was a kid, almost the same colour. his was a little more greener. Memories, wish he still had it.

Re: LJ 4 door Torana
pretty sweet. i have a coupe of those on my desk at the moment, so i have some idea of what kind of effort you needed.
Re: LJ 4 door Torana
Looks good bro, I've got the 308 here just need to win one of the Toranas to slap it in.
Is the engine bay GTO or scratch built?

Hey Franga, just message the guy on ebay, his name is Glenn, tell him you are on this forum and you are a mate of mine and he will/ should sell you one privately. Engine bay is out of the other LJ that was getting around for a while, originally Drysacks then someone ripped it off and re cast it. It's a bit big so a lot of narrowing and shortening was done.
This LJ looks small when you get it but i checked dimentions as far as length and width and it's pretty spot on. Nice casting too.
