Captain Risky
Budget Direct – an Australian insurance company – have thrown us into 2015 with their new ‘Kick It and Rip It’ campaign with "Captain Risky". He makes his black and blue debut as a daredevil who’s just, well, not that good. But it’s funny and ridiculous and that is the success of this ad. It shows us someone so buffoonish, so uninsurable, that next to him, anyone can be insured.

I had a partsbox XB sedan in my stash, so will build it as Captain Risky's "Ski Jump Driving" stunt car.
Painted it in custom orange mixed by eye
got a bit of paint on this. edge wasn't very sharp on the black line. darn tape.
i've been working on the decal sheet. since only photos are available, i have to draw each logo item separately at a decent size so it will be sufficiently detailed when printed. i also can't print white, which needs to be considered. rather than paint the white stripe, i will just buy a decal sheet from Jason (he has a white GS stripe for the xb).

Re: Captain Risky
Best adds made for quite a while. Unfortunately he looks like the workshop foreman where we get repairs to our earthmoving gear done. My boys call him Risky but they don't know if he's pulling their legs or not when he tells them what he does to our gear after hours - something has done doughnuts there! This is a great build. Have to score yourself a bobble head to go with it.

Sweet ride.
Just thought I'd add that the Captain Risky ads were filmed at our local airport here in little old Goulburn.
Been a few ads shot around here of late.
