Hotwheels MILD MILL

Well, this months challenge is to replicate a Hotwheels car in plastic..

I have taken on a pretty wild build, the 32 Mild Mill, loooots of work i think..





I have bitten of quite a bit on this one, now to chew like hell....

Holy Mackerel Dale, you don't make your life easy do you.
Gotta say though, I'm hangin' to see what you do here.

This is going to be freakin awesome..

NO DALE NO!!!!  Please don't destroy a beautiful '32 3 window kit for, for... for this whatever it is!!!
Sit down mate, take a few deep breathes, and think this out clearly mate. I love me '32's and you just can't do this!

TJ, I am hoping to find one of the engines from the s'cool bus kit, i know i have one somewhere, they are huge, so will fill it out perfectly mate..  

Super super cool Dale and here I am worrying which side of a winch the hydraulic hoses go!! After looking at this and reading your comments about Morries van, I think I'll do what I like and remain inspired by you guys. AWESOME!

Must admit Dale mate, You now have me quite intrigued as to the outcome...so far very unusual but very interesting.
B.T.W.... I notice a bottle of "Zap-A-Gap" in the background. Do you use this adhesive for all your gluing of parts etc. or do you use a styrene cement and the "Zap" just for odd fittings?.

Jerry, if i am doing basic assembly with kit parts, i use the regular model glue with the needle tip, but if i am using styrene, of doing a big mod,
like the side steps to the front guards on this one, where i need lots of grunt, i use the zap a gap, as i find regular glue does not work the best with styrene,
also, i can hit it with an accelerator, and have it go off almost instantly, so i don't have to hold it for ever,
AND, i knew you would come around, you wont be able to resist it ..

It's onto the rear end today, i found an old Fuel chassis, so lopped of the rear of it, trimmed it a bit and i think it's going to work..

Coming to geather nicely, that cab looks awesome.

Looks like a lot of fun.  Can't wait to see it finished.

... still got my eye on this one! Lookin' real good so far.

This is a fun build, i am enjoying it a lot...
I made engine plates last night to cradle the engine.
And got some assembly done on the motor too..

That's really taking shape mate, very cool

Thanks guys, i got a bit of bench time this afternoon, so as it wont have a front engine anymore,
i made a flat floor for it, and made some drip rails too..
