Porsche
this is a Porsche 934 RSR turbo, I'm not really up on Porsche's and what all those numbers mean, I wanted a kit of a Porsche for my collection and this one is the right shape, the LHS don't get many of them so when I saw this one I got it, it is a Heller kit, and the boxtop showed a blue one, when I opened the kit I found that something wasn't right, its a kerbside ( not so bad ) but the interior seems lacking, theres no rear seats ! and no floor coverings, so I look at the decal sheet and find a few decals of gauges, next I read the info in the instructions and find out that all those numbers mean that this is a one of 30 race car built to compete at lemans! not so much as a racing stripe on the box or in the decals! and then I look at the body its very poor quality and has hatches in the bonnet ( I am guessing something to do with racing) I clean up the body and rectify the errors and then begin assembly, this is a very poor quality kit and will be the last Heller automotive kit I buy, the last one ended up against the wall, I painted the interior black and flocked the floor, I had trouble painting the body but that was my fault, when I got it right I began final assembly and found that it doesn't have quarter windows! it has frames for them, I check the instructions, theres no mention of them at all ! so I made some glass for them and finally got it all together, very glad its finished and I can go back to an AMT kit !

Re: Porsche
A good lesson in patience by the sound of it, i would have hacked those guards off to make a wide body something,
and the rest would have gone in the spares box.. Good work mate..

Re: Porsche
Very nice Porsche, If you look at doing another look a Tamiya range some have full engine others are Curbside Fujimi do both too, You find them a much nicer kits. Don't like one bad one put you off them.

Re: Porsche
Nice job here, sounds like it fought all the way. Now I'm worried about the Heller Scania I have.
