Re: HQ Holden One Tonner
Hi Dv8v8,
I have been looking for 1:24 Australian car kits, preferably 1960's but open minded.
Can you please enlighten me on what a "Shoey" kit is? If they are commercially available is there a website or other contact info?
Your Statesman above looks great. Back in the day guys would cut the front bumper down to bumperettes and fit a double height Statesman grille. Suited the car really well.
Cheers

Re: HQ Holden One Tonner
g'day Davoski Shoey doesnt sell them comercially, i am lucky that he is a friend and sells to me ocasionally, u can get a HQ and some other Aussie cars from the parts box, this one is not a statesman, it started out as a ute, with only 2 headlights, i added the extra lights myself wich would make this a Premier front the statesman had two grilles

Re: HQ Holden One Tonner
the color is Boyds purple pearl enamel with a coat of Tamiya clear pearl and then a coat of clear, im surprised that the puple worked at all, the can has been sitting in my paint cupboard for over 20 years and also surprised that Tamiya spray cans would cover it without a reaction
