Stoopid Woody
Since Rob died i've not been here much because it still hurts that he's not going to take the p*** out of whatever i've put together. I've also not been feeling the mojo WRT car builds for the same reason.
I have been building them but it's been slow.
Here's one I threw together from a Revell Woody kit. There was a point a few years ago where people kept giving me these and this is the second one i've put together. The first one was a surf woody, this is a Stoopid Woody.

Re: Stoopid Woody
Looks pretty cool to me Fred.
I might also suggest that if Rob were still around he'd slap you up the backside of the head and tell you to get on with things.
What you're feeling is even worse when the person you've lost is so close you shared everything including your most intimate thoughts and actions. I miss my Ann so much some days I just want to give up, then I stop and think what she'd say to me if she could. The last thing she did say was simply "I love you, now get on with it!" That's where I get the strength to get on with life and do whatever I need to do to continue to enjoy it and the things she always encouraged me to do, no matter what.

Re: Stoopid Woody
Yeah, I know he'd be pissed off and that makes it worse 'cause I also feel like i'm letting him down by not knocking out builds.

Re: Stoopid Woody
Good to have you back Fred. Love the weathering on the roof. I'm finding it tough to find the time to build and the van for Rob build is worse because I spend too much time remembering. But, yes he would slap us up the side of the head and tell us to move on. It'll happen.

Re: Stoopid Woody
Paint on my Robvan is done (including what he would have delicately referred to as purple wog flake on the roof), just needing a final coat of clear before I can move on to the foil. I'm hoping its complete by Ballarat.
Carps's words hit home and made me realise the last thing Rob would have wanted to do was to stop me building (there are people he would have loved to stop building but that's another matter ).
So this afternoon I got enthused and had a good rummage through my stash and found something to enter in the Model Cars Mag Cannonball Run.

Thanks folks.
Dan - I use tissue paper. I scribe planks in the roof where the holes will be and then stick the tissue (usually the stuff AMT wrap chrome parts, clear and or tyres in) to the top with a mix of clear and black acrylic and thinners. I then soak it over the scribed areas until it wears away.
