Anyone got plans for a filtered spray booth ?
I was spraying the Manton mini today (humbrol enamel) and was hugely impressed with the finish (shine and smoothness) but then started getting dust stuck to it . Does anyone have any plans for a sealed and filtered spray booth that you poke the airbrush through a sock or sleeve so you don't have to open and close doors etc ? Might have to do it from scratch anyway but would appreciate ideas and/or plans .
I'm thinking a box of painted plywood or crapwood with a perspex/plastic top , a turntable in the middle for the model spun by hand from underneath and a large auto air filter (thinking Pajero since that's what I've got) taking a big section of one wall to filter air coming in (and out from spraying) and a sock/sleeve to poke hand and airbrush through . ANy other ideas ? Heat lamp perhaps ?

good in theory, however, if you sneak a peek in a 1:1 spray booth of any custom paint shops, you will notice that the floor is grid mesh and thats where all the air gets sucked through. The dood that painted my Z 900 (1:1) claimed that wall mounted or ceiling mounted units can actually drop crap in the paint work. Gravity is a bitch like that. Seemed towork, did a great job on the 9 bits.
