New model truck kit
Just found a couple of mock up pics on a model truck forum of the IH Lonestar. Not sure what scale it's going to be. Release date is suppose December or early 2011. From the pisc it appears to have all the good bits, Cat Maxxforce 15 engine, big sleeper, aerofoil, etc.
It's being done by Moebius Models who are also doing a couple of new car kits, a Hudson Hornet and a Chrysler 300 From what I've read about these car kits they're going to be top notch so heres hoping the truck will be the same.

Re: New model truck kit
After a lot of searching I found some pics of mock ups of the truck on another forum.
Can't find any pics of the Hornet or 300 kits (which to be honest excite me far more than the truck) but heres some 1:1s.

Re: New model truck kit
Yep thats the pics I came across on another forum, wasn't sure if it is permissable to pinch pictures from one forum to post on another forum.
If you're into trucks it's worth going to the US Navistar site where you can download the brochure on the real thing.
There's also a very interesting 3 page discussion about the Hudson & the Chrysler 300 on the Model Cars Magazine forum under the "New Kits" heading. They're not going to be cheap $29.95 US for the car kits, so it's anybodys guess on the price of the truck when & if it gets here.

Depends on the forum. I made an executive decision that Paul is relaxed enough not to worry about it.
Scale Auto Forum on the other hand...
The Hudson is going to lead to a tsunami of chopped Hornets. There will be so many appearing on the forums that people will be building 49 Mercs to be different.

Re: New model truck kit
The Hudson doesn't really do it for me, but the Chrysler 300 & the Lonestar will be a "MUST HAVE" apparently there's also going to be NASCAR options in the car kits.
Have also just read where the US price of the Lonestar is going to be around $70, so by the time it gets here I guess it'll be around $120. Considering it's the first all new US truck in maybe 15 years, together with a new engine and all brand new mouldings I reckon it's pretty good value.
The Lonestar is one of those things you either love the look of, or hate it. For me that retro look hits the nail right on the head, can't wait to get my hands on one.
