Masking tape residue Empty Masking tape residue

Post by frank Sun 21 Nov 2010, 2:33 pm

Hi guys
I have a slight problem. I masked up my 34 Ford sedan to paint the roof insert and now I have masking tape adhesive residue on the body. Any suggestions on how to remove this without stuffing the paintwork PLEASE.

Maybe a Que-tip dipped in warm soapy water might get it off?

depending on how dry the paint is try some diluted to straight Eucalyptus oil it is the best thing for getting labels and tape residue of things but test your paint first if is not 100% cured /dry it might in to it

Just use the same masking tape - stick it on and off the body a few times - should take the adhesive off. Otherwise you can polish it off with some cream polish and a rag.
