32 Ford KISS project
Hi guys and gals. The 59 is on the back burner because the silly little chinaman sent the wrong parts for my airbrush ...then get this ...asked for photos of the missing parts to make identification easier ????? Ummm Herro you sshtupid iriot !
Anyhoot so I feel like building something but nothing to complex so shuffle through my small stash and find this.....
Its Monogram 32 Ford. I sit the box on the table ...crack a can and stare at the picture and wait for inspiration. Anyway the next day when the hangover lifts and I look at the box again I realize ...I only have 2 rattle cans anyway ...and both almost empty. The KISS saying comes to me and a picture forms in my minds eye ….that once developed leaves me with a finished product looking like this. ….
The only mods where a clean up of the body, converting the steering wheel to the 'Correct' side of the car, swapping steering linkages to the 'correct' side of the car, sanding and filling the join seam on the motor and gearbox, lifting the back just a little (I like this look) and a few other little things.
Great kit to build. Everything fits where it supposed to and lines up. My only gripe is the poor excuse for an exhaust system and where parts attach to the sprue. What looks like a glue fingerprint in the middle of the top of the windscreen is actually where the plastic chipped when separating (by knife too) it from the sprue. Also where the chrome parts attach to the sprue. Anyway here is my humble offering ...scuse the crappy pictures.....
This was the workbench . River in the background and vewy vewy Quiet. Place called Sues Bridge on the Blackwood river southwest WA

Looks good Dean, well done, I like the RHS conversion. Reminds me of late 70's style Aussie street rods, just got that syle to it.

A 'revision' mirror Ohhh you mean a rear vision mirror. Hmmm not a bad idea ...

Very sweet build Dean, especially considering the luxuries you DON'T have mate, you do have the worlds biggest diorama for your photos though.

Cheers guys. Dale I am leading what I consider a million dollar life style (Wish the bank account reflected it) so I have all the luxuries you 'townies' dont have. Swings and roundabouts mate and no stress to keep me from the model room !
Ta for the comments folks.

Good stuff Dean. I've always liked that blue/green colour and the RHD conversion is a nice touch too.
