Re: 2013 Wagga & District Scale model Show Photos
Hi Frank,
there are about 60 photos, and they may take a while to load, I don't have them on photobucket as yet, but they are also up on our Facebook page if that's any help.
Is anyone else having issues?

Some very nice builds there, alot of them seem familiar too, isn't it a pitty we need to fence off our build now days, "DON'T TOUCH" just doesn't seem to get through to people these days. There is always some turkey trying to pick them up.
for the pics.

I like the Kenworth with the HOTEL on the back, bit large to be classed as a sleeper i reckon.

Re: 2013 Wagga & District Scale model Show Photos
Hi Scummy, great photos. I built the Comet transport KW and the 8 wheeler tautliner. The young bloke did the Freight Rail pan. It's the 1:43? scale Heller kit. The Comet truck was never going to be built. I was given an old cab by a mate so I could cut up and make an extended cab out of a kit I had but decided to have a go at re joining the bits I wasn't going to use before starting the big cab. It went together pretty easy alignment wise but filling and sanding the joint wiped out the rivet detail so that had to be redone. It was also missing the left hand headlight/step section so I scratch built that. It has an Italeri 6 cylinder engine painted to look like a 400 Cummins. I got the idea for the paint from the HCVC site where they a picture of a Comet subbies Aerodyne. The dash, bullbar, tank brackets, stone guard and air cleaner barrels are Auslowe, exhausts are KFS, tanks and air cleaner pipework are scratch built. I had the decals done by a mob in S.A (prompt good quality and heaps of spares). Even though KW didn't do a cab like this it scales out at the 63 inch cab- a happy coincidence for me.
The 8 wheeler is a partial rebuild from a kit put together in the real early days of my modelling.Left the cab alone but built the body, new tanks and wheels and tidied up the chassis joints and wiring. The clearance lights and taillights actually work when hooked up to one of those big torch batteries. There are a lot better ways of doing that now.
Great to see the trucks up here. Cheers.
