Ford C800 tractor

Looking at building this one up as you don't see a lot built up.

Got the engine block done and some of the chassis.

Got some colour on the chassis, looks black but its Tamiya X-5 green.

Nice work so far Al , keep at it .

Sounds like you have it "mapped out"? Reckon with a little scroll work
here and there, & some signage on the doors?... she'll look a treat.

Jerry Ol'55, Have signage for the doors will look at some scroll for it too, Oh the roof will be white. One thing with this one the box art has a C-900 on it but the cab has C-800 badge on it, Also have the C-600 ridge with pan its has C-800 on it too. Look's Like AMT used one cab for two trucks. It will worry and upset some but not me its a cool COE Ford.

Interesting truck there Allan, doesn't look like you'd have to lengthen the wheel base any just put the tray straight on.

Was not sure if it the short wheelbase or a bit longer.

It's probably a bit longer but your model your call. The cabs all pretty  much forward of the rear of the front tyre so weight forward wouldn't be an issue for carrying 1 car. Maybe a short bogie pan trailer or a set of those single axle pans they use in the US?

Deaf as, justed order a AMT flatbed trailer for this one which will be a lot easyer then building a ramp bed, Got engine painted dark blue.

Got a bit of paint on the cab today, its pale green a colour that I mixed up. Top photo inside the other is outside.

So far so good Al. That colour suits that truck. Is this the same model truck that Clint Eastwood drives during the intro of one of the Clint & Clyde movies?

Oh the colour is one that I made up using Tamiya color acrylic, main colour is White X-2 with a few drops of Clear Green X-25, will be painting the top of the roof white, grill and front bumper bar will also white.

Put a white roof on this one as there was to much green.

This is looking real nice Al , now hook in and build it .

looks good Allan cant wait to see it finished.
