Chemical tankers Empty Chemical tankers

Post by clea Wed 23 Mar 2016, 3:44 pm

Just meandering a bit, over the years, you think...i want that, I'll buy that. Then you start thinking.....what do I need to make it?
You sit and think about things logically, do a bit of reference...then get off your arse, AND GIVE IT A GO. It's not rocket science.
These two started out as 1 metre of pvc pipe from Reece hardware,...$3.00 and a few bits of plastic...and a bit of common sense
Chemical tankers IMG_0610-vi
PVC pipe, 2mm ends, carved the suspension, 2mm plastic

sheet guards, bit of channel.
Chemical tankers IMG_0656-vi
Bit more plastic for the hose trays

Make a dolly for the 2nd one.....Just plastic sections !

And after a LOT OF SATISFACTION....voila ! you've done it, something you can tell others..
I BUILT THAT !
It amazes me that people buy a kit, and spend the same amount of money on aftermarket stuff,....and say "I built that"
Maybe a bit harsh..?
Clea.

Your work is something to be proud of Clea, proper scratchbuilding at it's best.
It's only plastic until you add your imagination!
I'm genuinely enjoying your work..................makes me want to start one of mine.Very Happy
