Re: Random Inspiration!!
Any one know if there's ever been one of these in 1/24 or 1/25?
'55 Chrysler New Yorker Town & Country Wagon
Wide enough to seat 4 across
And yes, it's got a Hemi.

Re: Random Inspiration!!
I had a quick look at Modelhaus yesterday and they don't list any Chryslers earlier than '60.
I'm not up to that level of scratchbuilding but thanks for the thought.
It strikes me that apart from Nomads there is a distinct lack of 50's wagons in styrene.

There's a distinct lack of anything with more than two doors.

I wonder how many from the board of directors are dead now after seeing a picture of that chop top Roller, boy I bet that sent a few of them into a spin.

Yeah that is well cool. There's a fully detailed photo album of the paint session on Rik Hoving's site - take a look.

Re: Random Inspiration!!
There was a fair bit to get me inspired at the Hot Rod show.
This is lovely, you don't often see white rods.
And this just appealed. Shades of the Blastolene Brothers?

'55 Chrysler New Yorker Town & Country Wagon
Zen, not a wagon but it's a 55 Chrysler (300)
Found this site from the states, R & R or Resin Realm? No idea what they are like to deal with, but the selection of 50s & 60s resin is huge if you are happy to pay US$, and lots of wagons. They can be found at:
http://resinrealm.net/Star/RRGalleries/RR_All.html
Or check the selections from a huge listing of resin manufacturers at Rocketfin:

Re: Random Inspiration!!
Wild rat rod to add in here , saw it at a car show in Coffs Harbour early last year and was impressed .
Nose cone/grille is from a Farmall tractor , still with Farmall badge on it
Not sure on the validity of the plates on it though it had a current rego sticker as well
Unfortunately I missed the gear knob , it was a brass replica of a hand grenade and was about an inch below roof height ...

Or may be you're so far ahead you've come round again and overshot?
Thanks anyway.
By all accounts R&R stuff is a bit varied. I've got one of their resin '49 Ford Woody bodies and it's not that good.

Re: Random Inspiration!!
Just back from a holiday in Broome.
Spotted this at a Roadhouse between Broome & Derby.
Also saw an HZ Pano Overlander cruising the streets of Broome but couldn't get the camera out in time to get a pic.

I was supposed to have my Monaro on show there like I have done the last three years , but after alate night at workmates party I didn,t get up early enough and the car was grubby anyway . I,m doin a show at Londonderry Oval tomorrow.
