That paint is awesome !!
& there's just something about custom commercials
over other body styles
May I ask what wire you use, for those brake lines ?

Re: 58 Chev Sedan Delivery
Good question, ummmm...found a piece on my desk, don't know where it came from or what it's off, had a black sheath on it that I stripped off and it looked about right, sorry can't help anymore. USB cables are a good sorce of wire. Or fuse wire.

That would have been a major achievment........... I have seen your work bench.... OK the mound, I assume there is a desk holding it upTubman wrote:Good question, ummmm...found a piece on my desk, don't know where it came from or what it's off, had a black sheath on it that I stripped off and it looked about right, sorry can't help anymore. Re: 58 Chev Sedan Delivery
. Ment to ask the other day if you found somthing for springs if not I've got somthing that could help. 0.9mm ally mig wire, I used it a while ago on yellow 67 chevelle, you just polish it up and rap it around a bit of round styrene to get the the size you need. Will post some pics later if you want.

Re: 58 Chev Sedan Delivery
Thanks Rocket, good thinking and timing, I was just about to use the ugly kit ones. I've got a mig but it's down at my mates place. I'll have to check in my many piles of crap and see if I've got some here.

Re: 58 Chev Sedan Delivery
dont forget to look in 1:12 bike kits, some of the Tamiya kits have awsome rear shock springs that would not look out of scale on 1:24 rear end

Re: 58 Chev Sedan Delivery
Got a lot done on this. Front and rear suspensions are in (thanks Rocket for the spring idea). Handbrake cables and brackets done as well as the zorsts, main pipes made from 3mm solder (that's 3inch 1:1)rear brake lines already in. Real fuel tank going in when all finished as it's alcladed.
Interior is done. Flocked to within an inch of it's life, including the full length of the roof, using white and gold (thanks Paul). Dash has been smoothed with all knobs and vents removed, wheel was first alcladed then painted. Pedals are from the 57 Chev Pro Sportsman.
Engine is done and in. On a 1:1 all the wiring would be hidden, so there is no battery, heater hoses or other wiring in view. The plug leads are there but hidden as well. Brake booster is in and plumbed.
Sorry, that's all you get to see of the motor at the mo.
Hope to have it finished in the next day or two.

Re: 58 Chev Sedan Delivery
I don't think the bonnet will close with that billet aircleaner on.
Looking good Tubman. Hope you bring it up to QMHE.

Re: 58 Chev Sedan Delivery
Nice work, very clean and tidy. The colour combo goes nicely with the interior. Any chance you could move the steering wheel up a bit? It just looks a little too low, hope you don't mind me pointing this out?

I had the same problem in my '61 Falcon the other day, nothing a bit of force and superglue couldn't fix though!!....and I don't think the 1/25th bloke that's gunna drive will complain anyway
