lush .. a future project
clearing the workbench always opens up a little space for 'more' mock-ups
the combination of the duvall windscreen and the roof piece set this project up ..
so the hunt was on to stitch together another '32 .. . just can't get enough chassis' !
while searching for rims to the whitewalls i came across the cadillac grille ornament
and the mood or tone for the build was set .. . and therefore " L U S H "
as yet i have not found any rims that work .. but i am looking for steelies to fill those huge whitewalls
and as the topic says .. a future build . .. because until the wheels are sorted i can't set the ride
interestingly .. the amt vicki front duvall panel has been grafted into a revell '32 3window body .

Re: lush .. a future project
Very nice , how about losing the top and making it into something of an aerodynamic speedster with fairings to cover low roll bar hoops behind the seats

Re: lush .. a future project
Awesome - that looks fantastic already. Where did the roof come from?
Can't you take the wheels that fit those tyres, remove the centres and then fill 'em with an AMT steelie centre?

Moon discs are the answer.
BTW The Parts Box list resin '32 chassis rails which might solve you lack of frames...

unforgiven ... i love your explination of the ' lush ' .. . spot on !
chrome steelies from the revell 49 merc are fitted to the tires ..
front assembly connected with a 1mm styrene spacer that will by chrome
rear assembled by removing the original rims spoke centre and steele dropped in
next .. . ... the suspention ( well atleast the front _ as that's all you will be able to see .. ! )
thanks for the comments !

Well it was the first thing I thought of when I saw this idea, I like, the wheels look like they are perfect for this build

Re: lush .. a future project
The screen comes from the AMT 32 Vicky kit and the roof is from a prowler kit. Is that one of the ones i started Arthur?? I seem to remember grafting the cowl section i could be wrong.

Re: lush .. a future project
Somewhere in my stash I do have a '32 Vicky but for the life of me I can't remember the Duvall windscreen. Could have thrown it away thinking that I'd never use it Doh!!!!

correct and it is ... and i was so going to keep it the way you planned it John !
it's just i swapped this body shell for a 'standard' 32 roadster .. . and it still looks kool .
you had smoothed out the 3 window cowel panel to fit and match the duvall screen ...
but trying to fit the inerior proved a little messy .. and gappy
that's when i decided to graft the duvall cowel and door tops to the body, creating a nicer interface .
oh yeah ... it's the amt '32 ford 'phantom' vickie
yellow on the box art with a crazy lift off roof piece .

Re: lush .. a future project
i will need to put up 'another' thread for the original mockup ... but back to L U S H
a quick update on the wheels .. .
smoothed and chrome foiled the front rims .. . now need to glue 'em up and source the finned brake housings .

Re: lush .. a future project
the mockup engine pictured will be replaced with the flathead from the revell '40 ford kit ..
the body work to correct the roof fit and gaps will commence ..
a cool dash panel needs to be found ..
aswell as the resolution of the suspention ...
easy ! .. well atlest that's the plan at the moment
