Re: Sumfin Stoopid
I'll gladly take the blame if it turns out anywhere near as good as I think it will . I think you'll need a driver figure for it too though , some redneck lowlife type guy I think

Re: Sumfin Stoopid
Been fiddling with this while I build the engine.
I think i've finished the cut & paste on the body. That was easy compared to getting the interior, floorpan & chassis to fit.

Re: Sumfin Stoopid
Engines coming along nicely.
It's huge. I should really take pic next to something normal sized like an SBC.

OK, here's the complete but un-plumbed Mountain motor next to a Big Block Chevy.

Re: Sumfin Stoopid
While the idea of 9 million cubic inches is nice it was so big a lump fitting it into the channelled & sectioned 'vette body would have been a major PitA.
So i've switched to a blown early hemi.

Re: Sumfin Stoopid
That motor would look better in a Monogram 1/24th body, say a Buick GN/GNX .

CHICKEN ....
Looking good though Zen , I don't think the hemi has enough power though , better fit it with some nitrous as well .

Re: Sumfin Stoopid
It's a fuel altered engine so it should just about be able to drag the 'vette off of the line.
I'd be more concerned about the depth of the cockpit if I were you. I can't see how the driver would be able to get his knees under a conventionally placed steering wheel so i'll be fitting an almost vertical steering coloumn like on a Fad T.

I've had a change of direction with the change of engine and am now heading straight back to the swinging sixties.
Groovey.

Re: Sumfin Stoopid
Thanks folks.
Paint? not yet. I want to get everything mocked up before I paint so there are no nasty surprises. For example I haven't looked at a roll cage yet so that might need to go through the body.
