Great choice of colours, blue and yellow always look good together, the bolder the better I say.

So how did you mask it, what did you use?

Thanx

Porsche 911 turbo'88 Empty colour

Post by allan Thu 08 May 2008, 7:03 pm

sorry carps but it is not blue it is purple, which is a very dark colour,The tamiya color acrylic must have blue tint,I have tryed to take photos out side in the sunlight and get dark blue,it goes to show u that a camra does lie, have take 30 photos of it and all are diffrent.I used tamiya masking tape 1/2" wide.car was painted all purlpe, week later masked it up,airbrushed yellow.the tape is very low tack.decals came from a friend & some of mine.

Ach das lieben Porschenwagen - or "Gee I love Porsches"! Especially purple and yellow ones built as nicely as this one. Well done Allan. Carps is right though - the top pictures look more blue than purple.
