Mike Madlinger gave me the decals when i was a young guy, well i am not young any longer so i thought it was time to finish this one. I previously had primed the body which has now been rubbed back removing any seam lines, added fuel filler opening and filled the large gap between the body sides and the rear tarp cover.

With the chassis i removed the front bars to better clean up the join of the firewall

A quick update on the slow progress. Have added some new bars to the front along with cutting out the molded clip on the inside of the nose clip. I hope to have this is some primer by the end of the week if the weather allows.

Cheers Guy's. Finally i think i have finished with the bars at the front and time to get some primer on it to check the joins etc. With the sun out after a long week of rain maybe i will be able to get the red onto the body as well.

I managed to get a light dust coat on to check for seam lines and to make sure the added bars had joined correctly. Nice seeing it in one colour now and i am quite pleased with how it has turned out so far. I will hope to get some colour onto the body next weekend.

While i am still waiting for the weather to warm up here, I have started working on the seat. I have had a MM seat hanging around for ages so decided to use it, made my own leg supports and will give this a shot of primer to check for more pinholes etc. BUD Nastruck DSCN6503 BUD Nastruck DSCN6500 BUD Nastruck DSCN6501

Very slow going here with the modelling side of things. I have finally gotten the chassis in paint and also managed to clear coat it. I have also started to put the shrink tubing on to represent the padding.

I usually use Testors Gull Grey but this time around i went with Tamiya AS20 from their aircraft range of colours and then hit it with the 2K.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Managed to get a little more done. I have sanded the moulded hood bracing off and done something that looks a little more like the pic i have. I did not do around the outer edge just the centre section.
BUD Nastruck DSCN6825
Tyres and wheels are done, still need to add the red stripe on the rim.
BUD Nastruck DSCN6822
And i have started to do the headers, i have added some aluminium tubing and then covered it in heat shrink tube, i shall paint these soon. The exhausts are done by Modern Motorsports and i liked the look of them so i shall use them on this build.

I have now painted the body using Tamiya Italian red for the exterior along with the gloss black, then i covered it all with 2K. I shall let this dry for a week and then rub it back and polish it.

I decided to add the rest of the support bars under the hood, i just now need to clean up the little bit of bleed and then both sides are ready for a shot of 2K.

I have had these PE pedals for awhile so i have decided to add them here, i have also completed adding the rollbar padding and tie wraps.

Looking good. The support bars come up well. Do you ever have any problems with 2K, I'm having real issues with it at the moment, it just doesn't want to play ball with me.

I have had it fry some decals but i think i went and sprayed too soon after washing the body. The worst i have had was "Fish Eye" but then found out the best way to fix was use a clean brush and fill the hole (eye) with some from the bottle. Apart from that no issues.
