Iberian Dream - '56 Ford Mild Custom
For the Tri 5 Build - Iberian Dream. So called because everytime I sat down to work on this Triple M would be playing it.
It's the AMT 1956 Ford Vic kit with some slight body mods, a mild drop, the kits custom interior and a Mustang motor (not the one you're thinking of).
It goes together well considering the age of the moulds. Doors even give good shut lines if you wedge them in hard enough
Paint is Holden Aquarius with satin clear (my bodywork wasn't up to gloss) and the roof is some light blue or other with TPB silver flake powder. Wheels are Cragars from my parts boxes and rear lights are from either the AMT '50 or '49 Fords.
A big thanks to whoever sent me the second pair of bumperettes. I forget who it was but I owe you, they worked out well.
BTW sorry about the chrome but i'm still getting used to Alclad.

Nice work Fred. I like that Alclad chrome - I sometimes think the base chrome in most kits is too brilliant - yours looks more real IMO. Love the colour and custom work - not sure about the "muff" steering wheel though?

Re: Iberian Dream - '56 Ford Mild Custom
Thanks all.
Thanks Allan
Bill, it's worse than you think. It's a turbo 4 from a Mongram Fox Mustang...
I think the problem with the Alclad is I put it on too heavy. I had the airbrush on 12 psi but had a #5 nozzle wide open. I should have choked it down so paint was only just coming out.
Oh well. Next time. It doesn't look too bad with the satin paint but the foil and the "Mazda" thing on the grille show it up.
You think this is sedate Tubbo? Next i'm going to tackle the paint job i've been scared of - shiny black...
Thanks Allan

Thanks Goose. The v8 was long gone and I wanted something different but still blue oval.
