50 olds mild custom
like I needed another project got this out and was having a look at it and the roof fell off !!
somehow about 3mm fell off all the pillars
so then I had to line em all back up
haven't decided much about anything else yet including color though I was thinking flat black with a bright metallic roof

Re: 50 olds mild custom
They do fall off like that, I recon that Styrenus Consumptiverus (the thing under the bench) got the 3mm though.
So good so far

Re: 50 olds mild custom
Neat. But please no flat black. How about a real neat stock looking colour, off white, pastel blue, coral red, something like that? with a metallic roof that pops! Just my two cents, don't really like flat black.

Nice work on this - you have done well, when the roof falls off mine it never seems to get back on again.

Re: 50 olds mild custom
Thanks guys , Retro,I'm not a huge flat black fan myself but the way I envisage it, I think it'll come out pretty cool. Besides if I dont like it I can always paint over it. Ride height is set
Re: 50 olds mild custom
There is an early 60s Pontiac that is running around here. Body is flat black or semi-gloss, but the top is pink/mauve pearl...very striking.

Re: 50 olds mild custom
Chop looks great mate, sits well, myself, not flat black, maybe a satin colour and make the roof pop with some heavy metallic in a gloss, but, its your build mate, go for what ever takes your fancy.

Re: 50 olds mild custom
Dale ,I ave anutha planned using a pale satin gold with a shiny shiny colour so one day my friend, just not this week , Got the black on ( a nice satin ), you'll have to imagine the roof as its still taped up at the moment, I think once its been foiled and chrome installed it'll look chithot man
I did have a backup colour to go over the black but as it came out just as I envisaged it, it aint gonna happen.

I like it Dave, the satin black looks good, doing that on my '40 coupe. What black paint you using?
