Okay, better late than never, my entry(?) for the tri five build. It's the new 57 Belair 2 door post. Colour is Candy Blue mixed in metalic silver acrylic lacquer, yet to be polished. Wheels are a jap brand from Model Express Canada. Want to do custom interior but not sure if my skills and patients are up to it. Looking at a big block for the donk.

Tan? Blue & grey would be my choice.
Please tell me you have some lovely big brakes to fill inside those lovely big rims.

If I go with the stock interior it will be white with light blue inserts but if I go custom it would be tan of some sort.
Haven't really looked at brakes yet Fred, the Pegasus ones don't fit so might have to get some TPB resin ones when I am in Moonee Ponds in about three weeks.

Howdy,Tubs. I'm with all the others. It's a great color and you really laid it down right. It looks like an old 'vette color too, from '65 thru '67 If I recall. Was called Mulsanne Blue metallic. I did my VW that color . A real favorite of mine even now. Model on,Bud.Bill

Ahhh, the Mulsanne Straight. It's actually a public road when the race isn't on and it's very long and very straight and has a dirty great chicane in the middle for the same reason Conrod has one.

wtf

The colour Kirk has used is Mulsanne Blue.
Named after the Mulsanne Straight - the fastest part of the Le Mans road circuit used for the 24hr race.
Like Conrod Straight it has had a chicane put into the middle of it to slow the cars down.
Also like Conrod it is a public road along which you can drive (or in my case ride a motorcycle).
Being a petrol head I thought you would have known that.

Got some more done on this one too, interior is nearly done apart from steering wheel and shifter.
Body has been polished and minor tubbing to the rear started. Trying to get this done by the end of the year.

Beautiful, although being picky, in the photo the seats look a little plasticky to me, the rest of the interior looks superb though.
