'51 Mercury Converible
Here is my newest project that I working on. I cut off the roof a Revell Merc and converted it into a'51. The Fender extentions are resin copy of Hendrix '51 Merc Coupe. It will get a Buick grill, '51 Dashboard from RMOM

Re: '51 Mercury Converible
You seem to have made a mistake and fitted an OHV engine instead of a flathead?
This is lovely. Especially the colour.

Yeah it seems that the engine is wrong. But what looks better than a OHV with a Cadillac Air cleaner?

As I it based 1/25 '51 Mercury bumper. The supplier was Hendrix and not R&R as mentioned in a previous post . I had widen it and make the corners longer to get a similar look like the Buick front bumper.

Re: '51 Mercury Converible
My '51 Mercury convertible is nearly finished. I had applied the final clear coat. The interior is now finished. Some items like front indicator and the rear bumper are missing. I had made a new one because the chrome on the first one was everything but not chrome.
I'm a bit disappointed on the chrome of the Buick grille from Modelhaus. It isn't that good as expected.
