The Mack has been pulled apart changed to R/H drive and going back together with a more Aussie flavour.

Thanks mopar68 it's all two pack,Its the only way to get a nice finish without a lot of work (except when you have dust land on the clear)

Re: In the works
Sweet paint.
I've been having trouble with my two pack clears, any chance you might give me a suggestion as to the settings you use? and how you mix the paint? Cheers.

Re: In the works
I thin the clear to the normal ratio 2 part clear to 1 part hardiner with only a small amount of reducer about 10 % then and put it on wet but not wet enough to run,on the second I reduce it by about another 10% and put a heavy coat on.Kane wrote:Sweet paint.

Hope this helps.
For the small stuff I use an air brush but when I do the cab and trailer I'll use a touch up gun.

Re: In the works
Cool, thanks for that.
What sort of compressor do you have, small or large, I'm guessing large, and what kind of psi do you spray at?

Re: In the works
I just use my large 3 cyl compressor, its normally on about 80 psi but I do regulate that depending on the gun.Kane wrote:Cool, thanks for that.

I always spray something else first to check spray pattern and also to make sure I'm happy with the thickness/thinness of the clear.
The base coat is a no brainer.

Nice job on the Mack mate. It looks like a nice ol' work horse. Have you got plans on the trailer?

Awesome Mack, done to perfection and not over the top. A real workhorse. It will look fantastic when finished. Can't wait to see the Pete too.
