Re: 56 chev
Finally got the first lot of primer on this thing now (and started removing as well). Some of the areas still need some work, the other areas need a lot of work. Also need to rescribe the doors back in at some point before I paint it. Looking at redoing parts of the vent windows (if not completely) as I'm not all that happy with how they are looking at the moment.

Re: 56 chev
That's coming along.
I find that with this sort of "sand & fill" project it's best to keep putting it down & coming back to it rather than just keep on at it to the exclusion of everything else.
As for the engine, what's wrong with green & orange?

Re: 56 chev
Cheers guys.
I thought that you might like that colour scheme on the engine Fred, and obviously a younger version of me agreed at some point.
I have been picking this up and putting it down. Trying to get my head around things that I've never done before and trying to make them work (and hopefully look good too).

Re: 56 chev
Can't believe it's been a year since I did anything on this (1 year and 5 days according to the forum dates). Probably close to that for most of my kit building actually.
Tried to make a start on this last night, then the power went off, so I only got the doors rescribed and a couple highspots dremelled and sanded down. I need to modify the inner fenders now that it sits this low, but I was thinking of cutting most of the engine bay out and rebuilding it smooth (well I almost did last night, and then the power stopped that).
As you can see, there has also been some sort of scale earthquake that happened in that time as well. Must fix that, or build another diorama. I'm already creating more work for myself, damn "hobby".
