OK, her it is 4:00 am in the morning, and I can't take the next step on the Caddy, well not till I get the new engine for it, so I thought since I'm the building mood I might as well start another project, here it is, dunno where I'm gonna go with this, nice kit if you ask me, just doing some minor body smoothing, should have updates soon so keep an eye out, ideas and comments welcome

Re: '71 Talladega-Bird
No way something like that would pass modern crash testing. Imagine the result of that "beak" hitting the side of a car square on. It would punch straight through.

WOW! finaly a lil update, sorta got the engine done, still need to put the air cleaner on, and the headers, It's a 429 semi Hemi, used in the late '60s for NASCAR, but then banned, I dont know why, or care, and before any pinheads step out I kno they also used this as the beginning of the Boss 429, NASCAR required 500 of these to be put into production, only 800, and change were produced,

Looking good, is the engine colour a hint of what's to come?

Re: '71 Talladega-Bird
Well whatever happens this is going to be one very mean looking machine. Long, low, and power to go! I don't mind the protruding "beak" front. Nowadays you need something like that for "self-defence" driving. Ram 'em out of the way like the old Roman Galleys used to do it. Looking forward to more progress shots as they happen.
