That's just plain nuts mate, where did you learn these skills? I don't have enough brain power to work that much overlap out.
But seriously that's looking awesome mate, you're doing the old girl justice
Glad to see another Mopar back on the road again

Re: MY VC'S * DONE BABY DONE!!*
Thanks guys, TJ, i figured if i could do it on a roof the size of a cigarette packet, i should be able to do something on the real thing, thought it would be easier having so much more space, WOW! was i wrong, you don't get a sore back masking up a model, and it doesn't take 5 hours to lay down the initial plan. Wont be doing another one in a hurry, thats for sure.70cudatj wrote:That's just plain nuts mate, where did you learn these skills? I don't have enough brain power to work that much overlap out.

Re: MY VC'S * DONE BABY DONE!!*
Thanks for the compliments guys,
Finally into the assembly stage on this, i've done more detail work on the roof, tried to give it some more dimension , and polished the whole thing. Made a perfect grill from 3 crap ones, almost ready to put windows in and rego.!! Spent all day saturday making a sunvisor fit, now to paint it to match the roof, and some 8" hotwires on there way for it.

Re: MY VC'S * DONE BABY DONE!!*
Bloody awesome Dale. Just makes me wanna get rid of the Zook and get an old VG VIP 4 door (My fav Valiant) with a nice little 318.
To me it needs something down the sides .... nothing too much just something to break up all the silver.
Keep it up mate.

Re: MY VC'S * DONE BABY DONE!!*
Thanks guys, Dean, i'm going to wait until i get the wheels on, ( 14x8 hotwires), and the bumpers will be a darker metalic silver/grey, as with the trim around the top of the tray, i'll see how it looks then.,as the silver does change up a bit with the body line, it goes very dark when not in direct sun, but i see where your coming from, i'm thinking a pin stripe maybe, a red to match the roof or a dark grey?? not sure yet mate, but thanks for the input,baZOOKa wrote:Bloody awesome Dale. Re: MY VC'S * DONE BABY DONE!!*
Wheels arrived the other day, staying with the ERA style old school look, assembly almost done too. Dean, if i found a wagon, i would sell the P/T, thats for sure, and the wagons have an incredibly detailed pressed roof, which would really lend its self to lots of airbrush work.
Only got windows and bumpers to go.

Those wheels rock Dale! Old school but still very cool and the spinners top them off. Can't wait to see how the old girl looks all done with bumpers and chrome.

Re: MY VC'S * DONE BABY DONE!!*
Sorry Allan, no updates mate, down to the $$$$ part, $400 for window rubbers, which i don't have yet, bumpers have been beaten straight, will paint them as nobody in Tassie can actually do a descent job on re-chroming them, and i don't have the coin to ship them to the big island and get it done properly either. Sun visor is nearly ready for a touch of paint too, something similar to the roof, so Won't be too long, 2 months maybe, hopefully.!allan wrote:Anymore done to this one must be close to going on the road
Thanks too Clutch and TJ, i though if i can do it on a model, why not try it on the real thing, it can't be that much harder. And yes, the wheels , i am extremely happy with, they do suit the silver PERFECTLY i think.
