`64 Fairlane.
This one i have been working on and off for awhile. I had one when i was 18, as well as a XM 2 door, that i was going too do up. But then bikes got in the way and i sold both of them, what an idiot.
I started with the Revell T-Bolt kit. Converted to four door, Stock bonnet from The Parts Box
Front & rear seats from the AMT `57 ford, Revell `69 Mustang dash
Lowered as usual with most of my builds
Rear end out of AMT `96 cobra
Revell Super Stallion motor
Started work on custom interior door panels this morning. If this turns out okay, i am going to replicate my old 1:1 the way it was when i had it.
More pics in my Photo Bucket,
Enjoy, i don`t think it will be finished any time soon. I am not rushing it, and i have way too many other projects on the go as well .

That's looking good Steve - nice four-door conversion. As for all your projects, well you have to live life a quarter mile at a time eh?

This is awesome work Steve, I'm with tj on this one, (forget the rest) I want one!!!!! can you mould it (pretty please)
Re: `64 Fairlane.
Painted the body and chassis today, same colour as Linda`s `93 Fairlane. Used the touch up bottle she got when the car was repaired after being run over in a car park.

Re: `64 Fairlane.
Good one Steve. Being a fan of 4-door cars , your Failane looks pretty easy to convert to a 4-door . A bit easier than the '67 Impala I ,m turning into a 4-door . I'll keep watching yours.

Had a productive day yesterday while watching the Moto GP. Foiled and cleared.
Also got the 2 Mustangs foiled as well.

Re: `64 Fairlane.
Small update, have started working on the engine. Decided not to use the Super Stallion motor as the cam covers do not clear the shock towers. So i am using a Fuel injected 5 litre engine.

Re: `64 Fairlane.
Look what i got in the mail today
Now i can start on the replica of the car i owned when i was 17.
New parts in the box
Stock bonnet
New rear stock size steelies, for those that don`t know the T-Bolt kit, the front & rear wheels are different diameters
Stock hub caps
14" radials
Headlight buckets
New air cleaner
Side exit exhausts
Decal sheet
To do a 100% stock Fairlane, you still need front seat (only has race seats), diff and rear suspension
(only race set up in kit), stock exhaust and a 289 Windsor (only has the 427 race motor). The `64 Compact was the first 289, the `62/`63 Compact had the 260 ( in Australia, don`t know what engines the US models had).
After the good job Revell did with the Boss 302/Mach 1 retool, i`m a bit disappointed with this. At least they could have done front seat and a decent small block. Oh well.
