10TH NSW NNL TITLES: 15th April 2012

Hey guys I'm getting in early with this so everyone can try and make the trip........it's our 10th year of doing this so I'm hoping you guys will join us in trying to make this the best event yet!!!

So just a quick post announcing the:

10th NSW N.N.L. TITLES "A Decade of Modelling Excellence!"
Sunday 15th of April 2012

Open 8am
Entries 8.30 til 11am.
Voting 11.30 til 12.30.
Presentations at 3pm.

All proceeds to charity. (Over the last 9 years we've donated nearly $30,000 to Canassist!)

Trade stands welcome but must prebook.

This year will be slightly different, we now have the Rhys Crosskill Memorial award in honour of a great modeller and good mate, all of the trophies this year will have more significant meaning as Rhys donated a lot of his old trophies back to us to re-use so this year all the trophies are provided by Rhys. This will be the only year this will happen and a nice keep sake to add to your collection if you happen to score one! (Previously Brett has donated/paid for the trophies, this year Brett's vowed to donate the $400 trophy cost straight to Canassist! )

Pre event Pizza night again at the hall, hope to see you all there! It's the best chance for forum members to catch up as it's between Sydney and Melbourne, come along and meet the people you chat to every week face to face!

Plenty of awards and prizes as usual, the plastic mafia will be there in numbers again lurking around, and the usual crowd that's become a second family to most of us.

Great people, great atmosphere, great models and a great show!

Bring your models along and join in the fun!

Hope to see most of you guys there!!!!!! As usual it's a one day event.........that starts Friday and runs till Tuesday! Well at least it has over the last few years for us!

Just tagged it in my dairy. Was thinking the other day which weekend it was going to be on, now that we are in 2012. Hope everyone had a great Xmas and new year. I didn't get any plastic and I did't even buy myself any plastic kits for Christmas??? So I,ll just have to finish what I've got on the bench for Tumut, I guess ?? See you all then !

Thanks, Rob! I am going to try and bust out a new flame job, but probly not a 32..... I have been talking to Thommo, trying to push him into doing a flamin 32!

Nice of the plastic mafia to create a special tribute to Rhys - well done guys. I won't make any promises - I'd love to be there this year. Tumut is a beautiful place to visit. Let's see what part of my schedule of family and work responsibilities can be adjusted?

OK...We have booked our accommodation...at Riverglade again. Looking forward to seeing folk again...and maybe some new faces. Now hopefully will get some models finished.

We've had rocky entrants before, Shoey and Greasemonkey have both made the pilgrimage to it.

well i am planning on getting there again this year jason,also trying to get beno to come he sez he's keen so if you want to come there should be a spare seat and i have accom at the inlaws at ulladulla which should make it easier.At this stage shoey wont be coming , has to wash his hair or something?. lol

I can't do it this year but maybe something I can plan for next year if there is anyone keen then. I haven't been down that way since 1999 on my way to Phillip island on my bike.

I'm having trouble with the boss !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The closer i get to the next stage the gremlins come rushing out and do something that slows me down .

Wish the rain would go away so i can paint 3 of my models in the build. I now have a airbrush compressor again so i can paint.

I 'll bring as many of my other usual ones , a couple of new ones and a '32 Ford 5-window ! How's yours going , actually ,hows every elses going? Scummy will still be building his in the motel car parking spot, Again! At least mines finished this year already.
