We need more info Brendon. Maybe some pics too. What resin are you using? What sort of part are you casting? There is more to bubble free casting than pouring slowly. If we had more info and some pics we could throw some handy tips in your direction.

As for clear casting, the only time I have done it so far, the resin took a few days to fully harden.

I like to hand paint the mold with resin ...then fill it ... still get air bubbles from time to time but not as noticeable.

There's is a ton of things that go wrong with molding and casting, lots of variables to consider. Yes, more info please......
eg:
How did you mix the resin?
Is it a single or a two part mold?
Mold design?
How did you pour it in? (besides slowly)

Lots to consider....

I've got some clear resin parts that are still tacky years after being poured by a "professional" who's work is otherwise excellant.

hey brendon if its the clear you got from work maybe add a little more catalyst if its still tacky easiest way to make it cure is to whack it out in the sun for a few hours the air bubble problem is an easy one once you pour the resin and this applies to easy cast or polyester pour from a height about 30cm above the mould and slowly and if you can still see bubbles give the mould a little tap on the sides or drop it on the table that will encourage the air bubbles to rise to the top and pop naturally or you can pop them yourself, but the tacky problem is uncured resin and if is the polyester clearcasting resin pop it out in the sun for a few hours should come up a treat, any more problems come see at work and bring the mould ill try a few different things if your still having problems
