S Series Valiant
this is an ADR resin kit, chucked the cheese cutters and using some wide tyres with hubcaps, will be lowered and custom paint.

This will look great - these old style valiants are cool, wish I had got one of these kits for myself.

Re: S Series Valiant
Really? I've heard they were a pig of a kit :S
Either way, I'll have to keep an eye on this.

Re: S Series Valiant
Can't wait to see how this turns out DV8.
As far a the quality of this kit...............It can't be as bad as the Jaymar kits I've been working on, it's just a pity they didn't get the dash right.

Re: S Series Valiant
the hubcaps are from the cougar, the quality isnt too bad as far as fit and outside detail goes, but the underside has that hole along the tunnel and some of the deeper recesses look like they have sand in them, the dash is ok but the door trims are almost non existant, im hoping that my dazzling paintwork will deflect attention from these flaws

i bought two tins of this great looking anodised paint but when i tried it the result was very dissapointing (especially as it was pretty expensive) so i read the instructions and found its supposed to sprayed over chrome, i had a can of chrome spray so i tried it out and thats the color i got ...dont know what its called !
the kit is a curbside so doesnt come with an engine or a seperate bonnet but i did turn a jaymar kit into an R series and put an engine in that, heres the link https://ozautobuilders.forumotion.com/t280-r-series-valiant?highlight=r+series

Re: S Series Valiant
Well done on the Jaymar body, neat R series conversion job .
I've got 4 Jaymar bodies (3x S series and 1x R series 2 door) so I KNOW how tough they are to work with. Gotta get my bum into gear and put the final touches to my S series coupe build (or should I be calling it a Plymouth V200???).
