Small update guys.... Spent the better part of 3hrs wet-sanding & polishing the Colt Over the weekend I also wet-sanded & lightly polished both the Camaro & Vette but they're in masking tape, ready for some matte black accents. Here's the Colt...

Re: Triple threat theme builds...
G'day fellas, here's a small update. Spent the better part of the week, ( before/after work ), doing a lot of wet-sanding & polishing. The hoods are completely done but the bodies need a little more polishing out, to get the final stubborn little areas of orange-peel out. Pics of the bodies don't do them justice though... The hoods are a better representation of how the bodies really look.
As far as the Ralliart Colt goe's I had a bit of a set-back & accidentally buffed a little too much, right through the clear-coats... Didn't give it a enough time to gas-out is my excuse So I stripped it all. I'm kinda glad really, because I thought the fog-lights were a little too small. So now I'm fixing that issue & I'll put pics up when I've got decent ones to show.
Cheers Cliffo

They're looking Great Cliffo. If the bodies aren't completely Polished, you're going to need sunscreen when they are.
Keep at them.

Re: Triple threat theme builds...
Thanx guys But even though they're in pretty good nick as is I know my BF too well. He's a chef by trade & very picky... He'll notice how good the paint job & overall cars will be... But then he'll eye 'em off looking for a scratch here or there etc... He's a tight-arse! Lol! So I'll make sure the exterior is tip-top & leave the defects for the interior Hahaha! I'm a bit of a nit-picker & my own worst critic too. If I don't like a paint job... I'll scrap it & re-do it. The first thing everyone/anyone notice's on a model is the paint... So it's gotta be the best I can make it...

Re: Triple threat theme builds...
Well fellas here's the mini-me update I promised... I figured what the hell & decided to grab a C6 Vette & 2010 Camaro Hot Wheels & throw them into the theme builds too! Stripped them, primered them & painted them all today! I'll add some stripes for the Camaro & them throw the decals on! Then I'll clear coat 'em.
What do ya think?

I'm just concerned that if anything or anyone stands around too long near you that you will strip them, prime them, and paint them Eels colours!

Re: Triple threat theme builds...
Ok guys time for an update.... It's been a marathon last few days with the gun/booth... But I managed to get all the parts painted, in their respective colours, matte black/semi gloss black & aluminium, for not only these 3 builds but for the 458 & R8 Spyder too!
Here's where I'm at with the 2 Chevies... Ready for installation...
Got all the brakes drilled & painted. Was a bitch masking do many sets & needing 3 different colours to get them looking decent. Semi-gloss black covered by Alcad steel then masked off for the red/yellow calipers!
Here's the Colt... Originally wasn't happy with the size of the fog lights so I took 'em out & installed larger tubing. Re-worked the front fascia/etched in the lines... Should be all systems go for the gloss coats now...
Here's the new manual gearbox/console... Kit's was column shift auto... This is as close as I can get to the 1:1s... Console/handbrake from 06 WRX... Gear lever from Aston DBS & cup holders scratch built... Mesh measured & cut, ready for installation after painting gold to match my mate's 1:1...
Now I've gotta find some Recaro racing seats, similar to this... Anyone got any spares or know where I could find a set? Happy to pay/trade?? Doe's anyone know if they came in any EVO kit???
Cheers Cliffo
