PICS Model Expo 2012
First day (Saturday) was a hoot! Over 700 entries in all categories and plenty of car models too for a change. In all there are around 1,300 models on display and heaps more traders this year, so bargains are easier to find. Here are some of the auto models, etc, in a mixed bag (Juniors, Intermediates, and Seniors). I'll post more after Expo is finished on Monday. Don't forget the huge Swap & Sell Monday morning from 10am. You need to get there early and it is a separate entry fee to Model Expo. Enjoy!

Re: PICS Model Expo 2012
Nice pics guys and after visiting earlier this afternoon there are some excellent builds there. Great to see so many Australian cars on the tables, good to see rather than it always being the US muscle cars. I see that we car modellers yet again get canned with the few categories that are available.
You enter a car in Kerbside seeing it fits the category as it has no engine yet the organisers decide to lump the car into Competition vehicles as it has sponsor decals on it, I can’t see where it says that kerbside is for road going street cars only.......I guess I should be used to the way Expo is run after all these years now...
AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLES (Motorcycles & Trucks excepted)
Large including competition (1/19 & larger) OPEN
Medium non-competition (1/20 to 1/31) OOB
Medium Modified Stock (1/20 to 1/31) MOD
Medium Modified Customised (1/20 to 1/31) MOD
Medium Competition (1/20 - 1/31) OPEN
Medium Kerbside (no engine detail) (1/20 - 1/31) OPEN
Smaller including competition (1/32 & smaller) OPEN

Hey Luke, there was a good number of automotive models there this year, as can be seen. Here's a few more to add to the post.

I agree with DeeCee. What a model. I am guessing its a modified diecast. Can anyone shed some more light on it?

I can shed some light on that for you it was built by a mate of mine. It started as 1/18 scale HZ ute and had the tub removed and scratchbuilt tray put on. The engine is a twin turbo chev, He builds some awesome models all in diecast. Hope this helps.
