Blast from the past HK Monaro
Got a message on my model car Facebook page from a guy I built a couple of models for over 15 years ago. I built him my first Silver Mink Monaro and a HK Van drag car. Bad news is the van bit the dust, he had it in a display case and was walking past it and his shirt caught it and being a wonderful Jaymar fibreglass body it smashed into unfixable pieces. Good news is the Silver Monaro is still in great shape, recent pics below. Thankfully my skills have improved a bit, haha.
The other good news is I am rebuilding the Van, had a body here that required a bit of work but it is painted and slowly going back together with a change of interior colour. Chassis and motor also needed a bit of work but it's getting there. I will post some pics of it soon. He is also getting me to do another HK Monaro and van. I'm using a Parts Box Monaro but the van was a bit harder, Jaymar has stopped casting and is selling the business but I managed to get hold of Jeff from Jaymar and he had one van body which I received yesterday. Will post pics in new threads for all 3 builds when I get some pics.

I posted the original pics when I first joined up here, seem to have gone now, archived long ago. I'll see if I can find them.

I remember those pics.
Monaro looks sweet and the van top stuff. Pity the van is still not available as I had a HK van.

I remember seeing the silver monaro around and was quite jealous that you were able to get an aussie car. (it was a long time before i got my jaymar bodies).
