39 wagon rod
This is AMT 39 wagon rod, I have changed it to a custom 39 chevy panel truck did not like the woody side panels or on the rear, so I been thinking on what to do with the ugly panels on it, I filled then in with Humbrol model filler putty, its taken me 3 weeks to get the side to were I was happy with it, once I put the putty on I wait 3 day for it to dry before sanding it,once I got close I primed the body with Tamiya primer, this afternoon I put Tamiya Blue-X-4 which is a dark colour.

Re: 39 wagon rod
Thanks All, ya it looks odd as a wagon, was looking at putting thin strips of plastic card in the panels but use the putty first, one thing with putty there is no ghosting lines, will be removing the chrome off the rims and painting them.

Re: 39 wagon rod
I like the panels sides better than a woody, never been a big woody fan (I'll probably get smashed by some for saying that)
Oh and I DO like the colour

Re: 39 wagon rod
You beauty Allan, love that 2 tone. Those colours compliment one another really well. The photo's dont do this paint job any justice ive seen it in person, its lush. Keep up the good work.

Re: 39 wagon rod
Thanks VintageJDM, silverfox, it needed the white to break up the blue as to me there was to much blue on it. Oh had a idea of striping chrome off bumper bars, grill, rims and painting them white, Y/N on that.

Re: 39 wagon rod
Looks good Allan, but what colour are you going to end up with.??
I think leave the chrome on the bumpers etc though.
