Sprint Car 1980's Casey Luna
Hey Guys, Bought this kit at the 2021 Perth Model Car Show, and because I love speedway machinery,
decided to have a crack at this one. It won't end being as Casey Lunas 1988 Machine, but I will do my own
spin on it to make it a little more like a "West Aussie" Speedway car.
Because of the age of the kit, the plastic has become somewhat brittle and small parts etc. break off very easily.
A lot of repairs have had to be made to get this far... but so far so good.

Looking good so far.
I love watch these race around the track, almost got hit by a rear wheel once it came off in a race I moved as the wind change bring dust off the track, I moved by three seconds.

Oh another note a bit of infor for you when the run the sprit cars in Australia they did not have the wings on them Sid Moore was the first to add them to his sprint cars, they raced a white one with Minnie mouse on the bonett and had yellow Windfield on the wings, in the 70's in Sydney seen the car and meet Sid up in Lismore were they came up for a race.

They all kind of started with the mid 60's - 70's "Super Modifieds"... Then they started to add "Airfoil wings", then bigger engines
and so it went. Then they developed a class for these cars known as "Sprint Cars". Then another class came along
for the "Wingless Sprint Car" division. These cars had to be set up differently to their counter parts.
