Blown and Injected 69 Camaro WIP
Gday guys now the Super Bee is finished the next project I have is a Revell 69 Camaro Z28 which I plan to use all the kit parts except that I will be adding a blower (resin) An awesome pulley set from Arrow Aluminum and wheels and brakes from Pegasus in this case the CL's. Had acouple of problems so far with the wheels, fouling on the inner rear guard, which I have removed with my motor tool and have to build up with some styrene stock.

The engine set up will be similar to what I have done with my Chevelle.

Re: Blown and Injected 69 Camaro Finished!!!!
Cool - looking forward to seeing this one progress. I've also got a '69 Camaro on the bench, but the plan is for twin turbo power.
What colour you gonna paint it?

Bryce I have no idea at the moment. Twin turbo! Sensational!, can't wait to see some progress on yours. They seem to be a great kit.

Re: Blown and Injected 69 Camaro Finished!!!!
Yeah, they are a really nice kit. I'm thinking candy orange with the factory stripes. It's still fairly conceptual at this stage, but I will get back into it one day!

Nice!, candy orange would look cool! I want to do the stripes too but, the colour choice, I can't decide, I originally wanted to paint it yellow but I just done my Super Bee in yellow so I want something different.

Love those wheels....look forward to seeing your progress.
Re: Blown and Injected 69 Camaro Finished!!!!
Gday guys got stuck into the front end the existing axles and wheel backs didn't do the wheels justice so i ended up sawing off the lot and constructing a new spindle & axle set up for the Pegasus CL's I made the spindle out of styrene which has still to be shaped and used styrene for the axle, which I am to fit some big cross drilled brakes. Now to bring the ass end down to match. Thanks for looking

Re: Blown and Injected 69 Camaro Finished!!!!
Gday guys, got some work done on the ass end, the track width of the kit diff was way too big for the CL's so I have had to cut off the existing wheel back and axles and have drilled the diff to accept some new styrene axles, I ended up chopping about 5 mm from both ends. now to rework the rear height. Bryce I have worked out my colour choice I am painting it black.

Re: Blown and Injected 69 Camaro Finished!!!!
Gday guys, had some spare time so I am back on the camaro, thanks for the comments guys. Problems, Problems!!! lolI I noticed with the diff chopped the wheels were fouling the chassis rails so I had to thin them down with my motor tool , THEN the wheels were fouling the spring and shackle so I thinned them down. So I finally had a win, I dropped the ass with some scratchbuilt lowering blocks. All I have to do is scratchbuild some shocks and relocate them to the inside of the chassis rail and make new mounts on the diff. Well at least it's primered, Some days, lol!

Looking good Adam.
Yeah, some days you should just stay away from the bench as everything you touch will turn to shite. I have had a few of those lately...

Re: Blown and Injected 69 Camaro Finished!!!!
Gday guys, have a bit more work completed on the rear, just about ready for primer. Anyway the gaps in the rear inner guard were covered with a strip of styrene and some epoxy putty, all smoothed out and the holes for mounting the exhaust and rear spring hanger were plugged with styrene. as I am moving the springs in about 1.5 mm I had to extend the location the same amount in towards the tank. The original diff mounting point was separated and I have added about 2.5 mm styrene stock to get it to sit at a nice height, I am also going to chop the rear mounting point by about 1.5 mm so hopefully that will be enough. Thanks for looking.

Re: Blown and Injected 69 Camaro Finished!!!!
Gday guys, had a change of heart and are not happy with the front end so I stripped it for a rebuild. Oh Well. anyway I relocated somescratch built bottom shock mounts out of styrene and wire and redrilled the top mounts on the inside of the chassis rails. The shocks are made out of styrene rod and tube. Just about done for the rear. Sorry Bryce, lol. Go on finish it buddy. lol!

Re: Blown and Injected 69 Camaro Finished!!!!
Gday guys been crook so it's been a while for a post. Anyway front suspension has had new lowered spindles built and I am going for a rebuild look rather than the factory overspray look, so the chassis is painted and a few other parts picked out with metalizers, and a new fuel pick up has been added, so just to let you guys know Im still alive, lol!
