49 Ford Coupe
I’ve been working on a ’49 Ford kit I picked up at Xmas. So far it’s been chopped, shaved, nosed, decked and frenched.
Absolutely perfect painting day today, so I got busy. This is “midnight glow” over a flat black base coat.

Re: 49 Ford Coupe
Early days yet but I dare say this is going to be another Bryce knockout model. This is one of my favourite Fords - I'll follow your work with interest.

Re: 49 Ford Coupe
Thanks guys!
I have been grinding away at the chassis to get 'er in the weeds. I also slapped some clear on today, so couldn't resist a quick and dirty mock up to check stance...whadda ya reckon? Low enough...?

Re: 49 Ford Coupe
Just right on the height. Low enough to look Cool but still cruisable.
BTW love the way the paint looks under lights, a lot darker than the outdoor shots.

Anyone know if the AMT '50 Ford convertible shares the chassis with this?
I would have thought so but you never know...

Re: 49 Ford Coupe
Whilst the '50 convertible chassis fits the '49, the '50 has cross bracing and a molded in single exhaust! HTH

Re: 49 Ford Coupe
once you polish this sucker out ..
go lower !
it's not like you're going to drive it !
having said that ... very tastey stance .

Re: 49 Ford Coupe
I really love the color with the red wheels the colors compliment one another real well. Did you chop it yourself or is it a resin kit? either way its gonna be killer when you get it done. keep up the great work ,Like always I enjoy seeing your work it inspires me

Re: 49 Ford Coupe
Thanks guys - appreciate the nice words.
It's the new re-issue - I chopped it myself and leaned the B-pillars forward. It was a pretty easy chop...
