6th QLD N.N.L TITLES 2010

Hi all, Sorry for the late notice but the QLD NNL Titles is on again.
We had loads of cars on the tables last year and hopefully we can get even more this time around.

Rockhampton Scale Modellers Assoc. along with the Capricorn Model House, Advanced Tyres
and Champions Brock Experience presents the 2010 Qld NNL Titles or (Rockhampton Model Show)
to be held on Saturday 13th February from 9.30am to 4.30pm at the Criterion Hotel Quay street Rockhampton.

MODEL ENTRY DETAILS
Set up from 7.30 Saturday 13th
Note NO ENTRIES will accepted after
10.30 am unless prior approval from promoter has been granted.

ENTRY FEES
Entry fee is $2.00 per model, up to 5 models, each model over are free.

Lots of prizes to be won with a multi draw raffle
Accomodation can be arranged at the venue, (Mates rates)

One of the Best Model shops in QLD is only 1 minute walking distance away!!!!
Most Modellers stay back after the show for drinks and meals.
and party on into the night if you wish.

Tiger Airways do direct flights from Melbourne.
Virgin Blue do direct from Sydney.
Airport to model show 5 minutes by Taxi

Hopeless for me to attend as I'll already be back at work, but thanks for letting us know Shoey. Hope some photos will be posted here after the event.

I will be there for sure! Leave from work is approved. Just hope the torino gets done in time......

Thats great to hear, So you will be traveling in a Torino!! What happened to the Monaro!!

Still have to build a model of that yet....

Not sure what I'm doing yet, depends on a lot of things at the moment but would love to come.

Would be good to see you guys up here. Clutch you can leave the merc at home... lol. No seriously it would be great to see it in the flesh. There is always a large amount of models on display. Almost as many as qmhe.

Will be cool to meet some of you and see your builds but it's the after party I'm looking forward to.

Well, I've booked my flight, I'm coming, Rocket is doing his in the morning and I believe Bluedog is driving up. Look forward to catching up with every one.

1. If you are staying at the Criterion Ask for mates rates. Leigh Turnbull is the boss he said he would look after entrants.
there is the old section which will be cheaper or the new one which is a bit more,

2. Rules... 1st rule is.... not to worry about other rules. Access to your own model is allowed through out the day. for example: turn on or off, open bonnets, boots and doors etc. But be careful.

3. Display bases are welcome in all categories. this includes mirrors, boards, lights etc.

4. A very brief description of model is all we need.
for example: 1:25 1969 Camaro, Revell.
No need to supply instructions with model.

5. Remember, It's fun building models and just as much fun showing them off!! So if your not there to have fun, we will be braking fingers in the back room..lol..

So when does everyone head home that's making the trip up here? Would be good to organise a few things based on how much time everyone has.

Any takers for a trip to the Brock museum?

My flight leaves at 1.30pm but have to check in by 1pm on Sunday.Spose it depends on how everyone is feeling too, myself, I would love to go to the Brock Experience, how far is it from Rocky? Is it open Sunday?

It's about 35km from rocky. Shoey is the man to ask about it. He half built the place... As for how everyone is feeling...... i would imagine 'hungover' should cover it!

I'd like to see the Brock museum while I'm up there. Coming up Friday arvo and leaving around lunch time Sunday. Depending on how healthy I'm feeling, I'd be up for something in the morning.

Hey Guys, I can organise for a tour of the Champions Brock Experience for Sunday morning the 14th Feb, can we get a show of hands who is in.
Otherwise we might just wing it on the day according to how we feel from the night before.

Here is a sneak peek from the display.
This is 7 of 40 cars, not to mention Stefans boat, Mig 15 jet fighter, heaps of motorbikes and more.
